Innovation Spotlights

Success Story Video contest

All over, Kentuckians are coming up with clever and innovative solutions to some of the common challenges in farm to school. Let’s put a spotlight on some of these successes. Innovation spotlights will be short (3-5 minute) videos that explain and/or demonstrate an innovative idea and how it solves a problem. These videos can address any number of challenges in the cafeteria, classroom or on the farm, including:

  • tips for saving time and labor,

  • meeting core curriculum requirements,

  • unique partnerships,

  • unusual cooking techniques,

  • a clever fundraiser,

  • cost savings,

  • school garden tips and tricks,

  • a simple lesson that worked really well

  • and lots of other possibilities.

Video formats

Entries can be live action, or a slideshow with voiceover or record a zoom call with a slideshow presentation.

Video entries will be submitted ahead of time, shown at the Kentucky Farm to School Summit in Elizabethtown on December 4, 2024 where the summit participants will choose a crowd favorite to win a prize to be awarded in the closing session. Really, everybody wins, though, when we learn from each other and celebrate the successes.
